In order to comply with Chinese law and keep ICONS available in China, we have migrated Chinese data to a local cloud provider. Simply put, we will have an identical version of ICONS hosted on a Chinese server catering to our local customers.
This change has a few implications for ICONS users based in China. First, if you want to access ICONS in China, you have to use a slightly different link. Instead of portal.connectivityicons.com, the correct URL is portal.connectivityicons.com.cn.
Furthermore, at the time of writing, you might notice some features are missing. We are working on this. For example, some recommendations are not yet available. On the other hand, you will notice latency improvements. This means ICONS China is now performing better (i.e., faster) than before.
